Why Charleston

Led by empathy, passion, and insight Mom Me Minute was founded in 2024 by Liz Donovan as a heartfelt solution for moms to get support where and when they need it. Home.

Charleston, South Carolina is a mecca for people from across the country seeking a more balanced life.

Yet, many families lack the traditional "village". Moms, especially those navigating postpartum, need modern support systems to maintain their family, house and wellness.

Meet Liz

Originally from New York, Liz dedicated a decade to building a career in training, IT and project management. Like one in three women in corporate America, Liz experienced burnout and stress amplified by the pandemic. Determined to prioritize her well-being, she allowed herself time to travel and embarked on a nomadic journey.

This time was an opportunity to rest, reflect, and redefine her values. With that, "Consuming Conscious" — a personal philosophy rooted in mindfulness about how we spend our time, money, and energy was cultivated. After returning from abroad, Liz felt called to pursuit a more impactful path.

Encouraged by her sister, a postpartum doula, and her own innate caregiving nature, she began providing child and pet care. These experiences provided an intimate glimpse into the reality of modern motherhood. Thus, Liz set out to align technology and service solutions to ease the burdens of modern motherhood.

Consuming Conscious is the foundation of Liz’s personal and professional life. She especially enjoys local coffee shops, nature walks, yoga, seasonal food, and the company of dogs (maybe even a few cats).

Note to Moms

Motherhood is a profound and beautiful journey — but often moves at a demanding pace.

The early days, weeks, and years of motherhood are often a fog of sleepless nights, endless to-do lists, and overwhelming responsibilities. Know you are doing the best you can do, and you are doing great. If you need help, there is help!

More than checking off chores, organizing, or babysitting. It’s empowering women through compassionate, practical support.

Acting as a trusted sister or friend, we step in without judgment, with part-time household support. While our approach is not new, it is an invaluable service to the modern mom.
